Today was another good day. We were told we 'might' get to take her home today, and thought there was a great chance of that, but her bilirubin levels (from the jaundice) had gone back up just a bit, and so they asked us to room in here at the hospital tonight instead, and then we will hopefully be bringing her home with us tomorrow. So, Mike and I are at the hospital tonight, and don't mind it all that much since we are getting to spend time with Finley all night. It is just so nice to be with her. The light coming from her back in this picture is a bili blanket. It is a blanket with a light in it that fits up against her skin. It is like the light she was under before for the jaundice, but just a different style. She fed well earlier and is sleeping soundly right now. We took Bryson to Granna's house tonight to spend the night, and it is his first away from home somewhere without us, so we're hoping he'll do okay. He's stayed without us at our house before, but not ever anywhere else. So far, so good.
Today Finley also had her hearing screen, and passed with flying colors. Here she is with those big head phones on for the screening.
She sure is happy that Mommy and Daddy are staying with her tonight. That, or just a little gassy ;)We'll update again tomorrow as soon as we know something and get a few pictures in for the day.
